(Auntie) Joey

Age - passed away at the age of 25
Breed - Quarter Horse
Color - Palomino
Role at Lamoreaux Horses- Babysitter (Auntie)

Joey held a special place in our hearts at Lamoreaux Horses. She was the calm, seasoned mare we trusted to guide our weanlings and young horses through their earliest transitions. From weaning time to those big first lessons in herd behavior, Joey was a quiet leader—teaching respect, offering comfort, and helping the babies learn how to be horses. We will never forget the part she played in our breeding program.

Before Joey came to Lamoreaux Horses she was a mountain horse. She spent most of her life with our family living in Utah, packing elk and deer off the mountain, during hunting season. She came to us to retire, and become the famous Auntie Joey. She is was the dependable, and the horse we put beginning riders on. Dilly learned how to ride on Joey. She was an invaluable member of our family, and we loved her so much.
